
The Great Race 2008 New York to Paris
The Great Race 2008: New York to Paris commemorates the 100th Anniversary of one of the most remarkable automotive adventures of the 20th century, a race around the globe from New York to Paris before the advent of today’s modern highway and refueling systems. In a re-run of the milestone 1908 event, an international field of cars will depart from New York City, en route for Paris, France. Some of the participants will be traveling in automobiles powered by renewable fuels. Others will be driving classic cars, in celebration of the rugged spirit of freedom and adventure displayed in the milestone race a century ago.
Great Race 2008, New York to Paris will begin in New York City on Friday, May 30, 2008, and end in Paris, Saturday Aug 2nd. It will conclude with a victory party on Aug 21st 2008 at your Safe House in Milwaukee.
